Preservation of old photographs is an important way of
maintaining the visual family history for future generations to
enjoy. Old, faded and worn photographs can be digitally restored to
create beautiful enlargements for framing and sharing with loved ones,
while keeping the antique original safe and intact. The utmost care
is taken not to damage or alter your original photo.
Procedure
A high resolution digital image file is created to maintain all of
the detail contained in your original photograph. Then the image is
adjusted for lightness or darkness and stains, spots, cracks, and
scratches are carefully removed to restore the image as close to it's
original condition as possible.
Additionally, elements in an image can be cropped, moved or removed
to create the desired image. Also, two or more images can be combined
into one photograph to create a composite image.
